Recommendation Letters
Participating in YAGP means joining a worldwide network of resources for dancers, and one of the greatest benefits of joining this network is being able to utilize YAGP’s connections with dancers and dance companies all over the world.
As part of its expanding list of services for YAGP alumni, YAGP is pleased to offer to write recommendation letters for YAGP alumni who are applying to dance company positions, education programs, colleges, and non-dance related jobs in which a recommendation from an international non-profit organization may help you in your application process.
To request a recommendation letter from YAGP, please e-mail Trina Mannino, YAGP Executive Assistant, at yagp.production@gmail.com with the subject line, “Recommendation letter request – Your Name.” In your e-mail, please include the following information:
- year(s) you participated in YAGP competitions (regionals, NYC Finals, etc.) and any awards or scholarship offers you have received at YAGP
- the name of the company/organization/college/program for which the recommendation is intended and the position/program you are applying for
- any other information that you feel may be relevant and helpful in writing your recommendation letter
