After 11 years of sold-out performances at New York's Lincoln Center
and New York City Center, Youth America Grand Prix’s spectacular
"Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow" Gala was available on tour to local U.S.
audiences in February and March of 2011,
YAGP presented its first U.S. Gala tour in association with Opus 3 Artists and toured to Germantown, TN, Charleston, SC, Miami, FL, Burlington, VT and New Bedford, MA. The tour expanded performance opportunities for youth and gave local audiences a chance to experience the magic of the YAGP Gala in their local communities. The tour featured 19 dancers combining the winners of YAGP Finals and the competition’s alumni who now perform as soloist and principal dancers all over of the world including Jose Manuel Carreño, Melanie Hamrick, Michele Wiles, Irina Dvorovenko, and Maxim Beloserkovsky (American Ballet Theatre), Charles Askegard (New York City Ballet), Elisa Carrillo Cabrera and Mikhail Kaniskin (Berlin State Opera Ballet), Drew Jacoby and Rubinald Pronk (Jacoby and Pronk), Francesca Podini (La Scala Ballet), and Oksana Skoryk and Igor Kolb (Mariinsky Ballet).
