Hae Shik Kim was the first Korean to study at The Royal Ballet School in London. She was a soloist with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. She then became the Artistic Director of The Korean National Ballet. In 1998 she was the first Korean to serve on the Jackson Competition Jury. Ms. Kim was named director of the Conservatory of Dance for Korea National University of the Arts. Since that time she has taught and adjudicated all over the world, including at Youth America Grand Prix and at other competitions.
