Li Yan is the Artistic Director of Beijing International Ballet and Choreography Competition; Chinese National First-rank Artist; the Excellent Expert in the Culture Ministry of China; and the Artistic Director of Beijing Morning Star Ballet Art Center.A former principal dancer of National Ballet of China, Li performed in principal roles in many ballet productions worldwide, including Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Le Corsaire, Giselle, Don Quixote, The Lady of the Camellias, La Sylphide, Nutcracker, and the Red Detachment of Women.
