Valerie Madonia graduated from the National Ballet School of Canada. Her professional career spanned more than 20 years and included work with the National Ballet of Canada, American Ballet Theatre, and at the Joffrey Ballet. Ms. Madonia appeared in six PBS Dance in America Specials and is featured in four dance books including Classical Ballet Technique by G.W. Warren. She appears frequently as a master teacher at ballet academies across the United States, and frequently teaches at her alma mater, The Joffrey Ballet. From 2013 until 2018, Ms. Madonia was the Academy Director of the Colorado Ballet Academy.
