Building Communities

This past Monday, The Boys’ Club of New York held its annual Winter Luncheon with Thomas L. Friedman, the Pulitzer Prize winning New York Times columnist and best-selling author, as the featured speaker. His talk was entitled How to Run a Country, Find a Job, and Build Community in the 21st Century. (That’s all?)

After his speech, Mr. Friedman noted that he was “honored to be here in support of an organization doing such great work around community building. The Boys Club exemplifies exactly the kind of community values I discuss in my book.”

The annual luncheon was hosted by BCNY’s Women’s Board, co-chaired by Kristin Allen, Shabnam Henry and Tiffany Moller. This year’s luncheon raised more than $688,000 for the Boys’ Club.
