If you reside in the European Union, you have the right under the General Data Protection Regulation:

California Privacy Rights.

 
California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about the categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we share personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account with the Site, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the Site. Purposes and Legal Grounds:

  • YAGP processes participant’s data to arrange dance competition events globally. The legal basis for this is contract. This includes access to YAGP sites with personal credentials and interaction with YAGP stuff.
  • If you provide your opt-in consent to receiving marketing information from YAGP, YAGP will also process your email address for the purpose of sending you marketing information about YAGP events. The legal ground for processing your email address for this purpose is your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by changing your preferences in your YAGP account or through the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our marketing emails.
  • For processing op participant’s applications for scholarships and ballet school teacher’s data, YAGP legal basis is legitimate interest to provide educational opportunities globally.
  • For processing of personal data of judges, employee and supplier data, YAGP legal basis is contract.

 

Transfers and Shares of Personal Data

 
YAGP is a global business. To offer our products, apps and services, we may need to transfer your personal data to other YAGP companies in other countries.
 
When you create a YAGP account, add personal data in your account profile, or upload data to your YAGP account, your personal data will be collected and stored on YAGP servers in the US. Personal data regarding individuals who reside in a country in the European Economic Area or in Switzerland is controlled by Youth Grand Prix – Europe.
 
Any transfers of personal data from YAGP companies in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or Switzerland to YAGP are done pursuant to European Commission approved Model Contractual Clauses.
 
Subject to applicable data protection law we may share your personal data with:

  • Sub-contractors and other persons who help us provide our products and services
  • Our legal and other professional advisors, including our auditors
  • Fraud prevention agencies, credit reference agencies, and debt collection agencies
  • Courts, to comply with legal requirements, and for the administration of justice
  • In an emergency or to otherwise protect your vital interests

Retention of Personal Data

 
The following criteria are used to determine data retention periods for your personal data:

  • We will retain your personal data as long as your YAGP account is considered to be active.
  • We will retain technical information about your visits to YAGP websites and use of YAGP app for 12 months

 

Children

 
YAGP is a dance education organisation. YAGP processes individual participants (dance students of all nationalities, ages 9-19 years old) and requires parent/guardian consent for anyone younger than age 18.
 

Security

 
We have implemented measures in an effort to maintain the confidentiality of all personal information in our custody and control, including only providing access to personal information to employees and authorised service providers who require such information for the purposes described in this document. We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards in an effort to protect against unauthorised access, use, modification and disclosure of personal information in our custody and control.
 
To provide you with an increased level of security online, access to your personal information on certain of our websites may be protected with a password you select.

  • We strongly recommend that you do not disclose your password to anyone.
  • We will never ask you for your password in any unsolicited communication.
