An alumna of San Francisco Ballet School, Anne-Sophie Rodriguez was born and raised in France where she studied with Colette Armand in Marseille prior to settling in the United States. She received most of her training at SF Ballet School before graduating from Boston Ballet School, before dancing professionally with Boston Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, the Norwegian National Ballet, the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, and Ballet Internationale.

Anne-Sophie started teaching in 2005 when former SF Ballet Soloist Edward Ellison, an SF Ballet School alumni and former Faculty member, asked her to teach at Ellison Ballet, his newly-opened school in New York City. She then taught at the Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet, Joffrey Ballet School, Ballet Arts, and City Ballet School-SF, and served as Pentacle’s Behind the Scenes Choreography Mentor at the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts.

She holds certifications in classical dance instruction for elementary, intermediate, and advanced classes from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy Teacher Training Program and is also a graduate of the Janet Stone Yoga 500-hour program.

Anne-Sophie is proud and grateful to return to her original artistic home to help inspire the next generation.
