Houston Ballet Academy, Associate Director of Programs and Productions

Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, Beth Everitt began dancing at the age of 3. Before attending Houston Ballet Academy on full scholarship, she trained with Amy Morton Vaughn at the Van Metre School of Dance and the Washington School of Ballet under the direction of Mary Day. She has studied with many teachers, including Claudio Muñoz, Clara Cravey, Steve Brule, Ben Stevenson, Victoria Leigh, Bruce Alan Ewing, Zvi Gotheiner, and Nancy Bielski. She has danced professionally with the Houston Ballet, Louisville Ballet, and Dominic Walsh Dance Theatre. While dancing, she was fortunate to perform works by George Balanchine, Fredrick Ashton, Choo San Goh, Ben Stevenson, Adam Hougland, Andre Prokovsky, and Dominic Walsh. Beth performed as a guest artist, dancing the roles of the Sugarplum Fairy in The Nutcracker and the title role in Giselle. She continues to perform various character roles with Houston Ballet and Houston Ballet Academy. In 2015, she participated in The Cross Threads teacher training program at the Paris Opera Ballet School and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet’s Teacher’s Workshop. Beth is the Associate Director of Programs and Productions at Houston Ballet Academy. She is also a certified GYROTONIC® instructor and enjoys teaching dancers and students of all ages.
