Carlos dos Santos, Jr. performed as a principal dancer with major Brazilian dance companies, before moving to the United States and performing with Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and the Alvin Ailey Repertory Ensemble, where he also served as a company teacher. His choreographic credits include works for Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, American Dance Festival, Cape Town Dance Company, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble, Colorado Ballet, the CUNY Dance Initiative, DanceBrazil, Houston Ballet second company and the Joffrey Ballet apprentice company. Mr. Dos Santos has taught throughout the U.S. and abroad and has served as a jury member and resident choreographer for Youth America Grand Prix since its inception.
