1989 Graduate of The Vaganova Ballet Academy. 2004 – 2008 The pedagogical department at the Vaganova Ballet Academy, where he received his degree in Art of Ballet, Ballet Pedagogy. Engagements: 1989 – 1994 The Kirov Ballet; 1994 – 2005 Het National Ballet (the Dutch National Ballet) Mr. Chicherin danced soloist roles in numerous ballets of the classical and the modern repertoire. In 2001 Grigory he joined the faculty of the National Ballet Academy in Amsterdam and was promoted to senior docent in 2011. Since 2009 he has also been a guest teacher of the Marinsky Ballet and the International Mariinsky Ballet Festival, which gathers the world’s greatest dancers to St. Petersburg every spring. In 2013 he was the lecturer of the extensive professional teachers’ course organized by the National Ballet Academy and the Dutch National Ballet. Grigory has been invited to teach in the Ballettschule Theater Basel, the Ballett-Akademie of the University of Music and performing Arts Munich, various international galas, Youth American Grand Prix, Summer Stages Andrey Klemm, ‘Je mont sur Scene’ in Toulouse and ‘Stage Intensive dance Classique’ in Brussels.
