New York City Ballet, Former Principal Dancer

Jenifer Ringer graduated from the School of American Ballet and became a principal dancer at the New York City Ballet, performing a range of classical repertoire and originating roles in new works by choreographers including Jerome Robbins, Alexei Ratmansky, Christopher Wheeldon, and Peter Martins. After stepping down from the stage, Ms. Ringer became a company teacher at the New York City Ballet and a teaching fellow at the School of American Ballet, among other teaching engagements. Ms. Ringer has also worked internationally as Assistant Repetiteur for the Jerome Robbins Foundation. She is the recipient of the prestigious Dance Magazine Award and the Jerome Robbins Award. Ms. Ringer is currently the Director of the Colburn Dance Academy, which is a pre-professional training program in association with the LA Dance Project.
