Kathryn Morgan began studying ballet with Winthrop Corey, and after training further at the School of American Ballet, she joined New York City Ballet in 2006. She moved very fast through the ranks, performing many leading roles, and was promoted to soloist in 2009. Due to an autoimmune illness, Ms. Morgan had to leave the company in 2012, but she has since regained her health, and currently runs two highly successful YouTube channels, the podcast “The Kathryn Morgan Show,” she writes a column for “Dance Spirit Magazine” and continues serving as a guest master teacher around the country.
