Maria Mosina received her dance training at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in her home town of Moscow. Upon graduation, she joined the Bolshoi Ballet under the direction of Yuri Grigorovich, and was immediately chosen for principal roles. Ms. Mosina had toured extensively with the Bolshoi Ballet, performing on historic stages in Europe, Africa, Asia and the United States. In 1995, Ms. Mosina was invited to join Colorado Ballet and quickly became a Principal Dancer, now known as one of the most celebrated ballerinas in the history of the company. She retired from the stage after her 20th season with Colorado Ballet, where she currently serves as the company Ballet Master. Ms. Mosina holds a bachelor’s degree in methodology and pedagogy from the Moscow State Academy of Choreography and appears as a Guest Master Teacher throughout the United States and internationally.
