Oliver Matz received his ballet training under the supervision of Professor Martin Puttke at the State Ballet School Berlin. He was appointed first solo dancer in 1985. Mr Matz is the recipient of numerous international honors, performing arts prizes, and critics awards. In 1995, he was awarded the honorary title of “Berliner Kammertänzer,” in recognition of his longstanding services to the performing arts. He is an honorary member of the German State Opera Berlin and one of the internationally most acclaimed German dancers. Mr. Matz’s students have achieved top places and won many prizes at national and international competitions.
