Pedro Carneiro started his dance studies at the school of Gulbenkian Ballet in Lisbon, and received a dancer’s diploma from the John-Cranko School in Stuttgart. He performed with the Stadttheater Hagen, Opera Bonn and The National Ballet in Lisbon. Mr. Carneiro then received a teacher’s diploma from the Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg. He joined the National Conservatory Dance School in Lisbon as a teacher in 1996, and presided over the school’s Executive Council from 2003 until 2009, when he was named the Director of the school. Mr. Carneiro teaches master classes all over the world and serves on the jury of several international ballet competitions, including Varna IBC, YAGP and Prix de Lausanne.
