Rinat Imaev trained at the Vaganova Ballet Academy, and danced with the Kirov Ballet, the National Ballet of Bulgaria in Sofia, and the Royal Ballet of Flanders. Mr. Imaev was a recipient of the Gold Medal at the Varna International Ballet Competition, and regularly appears as a member of the jury and master teacher at various international ballet competitions. His exceptional career as a guest artist and ballet master made him a sought-after teacher for prominent institutions and companies all over the world, including American Ballet Theatre, where he served as a company teacher for many years. In 2016, Mr. Imaev joined the Washington School of Ballet as a Senior Faculty Member and Company Teacher.
