Karin Averty trained at the Paris Opera Ballet School and joined Paris Opera Ballet upon graduation, enjoying a fruitful career as a Premiere Danseuse. Ms. Averty received international acclaim, when she was awarded the Grand Prix at the Varna International Ballet Competition. Ms. Averty is also the recipient of the Paris Opera Ballet Association’s coveted Prix du Public, and is a Knight of the National Order of Merit of France. Since her retirement from the stage, she has been teaching in schools and companies all over the world, currently serving as a faculty member at the ABT JKO School.
