Raymond Lukens was trained at the ABT School in New York. After a successful dance career, Mr. Lukens was a Ballet Master for Boston Ballet and Director of BB II, before joining the ABT JKO School, co-authoring the ABT National Training Curriculum, and creating the syllabi for the ABT/ NYU MA Program. He has taught on every continent of the world, and within the US – for The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, The Juilliard School and Dance Theater of Harlem. He has also judged for international dance competitions. Mr. Lukens was named the 2015 Lucia Chase Fellow in the School of Dance at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
